Twenty-four players with Pacific Junior Hockey League experience participated in Western Hockey League training camps over the past two weeks, illustrating the league’s role as a key developmental stepping stone for aspiring Major Junior talent.
Operating as B.C.’s sanctioned U20 Junior Development League, the PJHL provides competitive minutes, structured systems, and valuable reps against older competition.
Because the group includes athletes at various stages of their junior paths – ranging from core league contributors to prospects who gained valuable reps in the PJHL as affiliate players – their presence at Major Junior camps highlights how localized junior experience translates to the next level.
