Biros, Sales, Danielson earn POWs

The PJHL has announced its Players of the Week for the week ending Feb. 16.

Matthew Biros, Forward, Port Coquitlam Trailblazers – In the Survivor Series, Biros was a big reason it didn’t get to Game 3 as he recorded five points in Poco’s two wins. In Game 1 at North Van, Biros got the game-winner in the second and then added another tally and a helper in the third as part of a 7-3 win over the Wolf Pack where he was 1st Star. He then scored two more times, taking 3rd Star, in a 4-2 home win that put the ‘Blazers on to the the PJHL first round against Delta.

Bronson Sales, Forward, Surrey Knights – Sales also pushed his team through the Survivor round with a big series against Langley. He had the game-winner and an assist for 2nd Star in a 4-1 Game 1 win and followed with a helper in the second game, a 5-4 OT loss. He showed up in a big way in the do-or-die Game 3 with a goal and an assist in the third period to cue the comeback as Surrey took it 5-4 in overtime to move on to the first round against Ridge Meadows.

Nathaniel Marvin Danielson, Forward, Surrey Knights – Making his third stop of the season after stints at the U18 and WHL levels, Danielson has been instant offence for the Knights and scored five points in three games against Langley. After an assist in a 4-1 Game 1 win, he was 3rd Star after scoring twice in the first and adding a helper in the final minute to force overtime Star despite the Knights dropping Game 2 in OT. Danielson scored in the third period the Knight’s 5-4 OT win in Game 3 and was again 3rd Star.
