The PJHL has announced the first group of Players of the Week for the 2024-25 season for the week ending Sept. 15.

Zack Lagrange, Forward, RIdge Meadows Flames – Lagrange had just one game in the week in question to earn POW honours and he made it count, scoring five times and adding a helper in a Flames 12-0 win over Aldergrove. The Pitt Meadows product scored one in the first, three times in the middle frame including two on the power play, and had his final tally in the third, also on the man advantage. He was named the game’s 1st Star

Nick Peters, Goaltender, Coastal Tsunami – With a flawless 3-0 start to the season, the Tsunami are so far bucking expansion-team expectations and Peters has been a key reason. The Powell River native most recently made 39 stops, including 17 in the third period, in a 7-1 home win over Port Moody. Peters has been in net for all three Coastal wins and is carrying a .960 save percentage.

Mateo Sjoberg, Forward, Delta Ice Hawks – The Ice Hawks have had a busy start to the campaign with seven games under their belt already. For the POW week in consideration, Sjoberg hit the ice three times and had multiple points in each outing. In a 5-2 home win over Grandview, Sjoberg was 3rd Star with a goal and a helper and followed that with another goal and an assist in a 6-3 road setback to Richmond. Sjoberg concluded his week with three assists in a 5-2 comeback win at North Vancouver.
