Johnston, Sarai, Holbech are POWs

The PJHL has announced its Players of the Week for the week ending Nov. 10.

Cody Johnston, Forward, Abbotsford Pilots – Johnston had a massive week, despite being held off the scoresheet in one of the three games that counted. In a road setback at Surrey, the Langley product nor the rest of his teammates found the scoresheet but he got going the next time out with a shorthanded goal and a helper and 2nd Star in a 6-4 home win over North Van. The 5-foot-11 pivot then opened the scoring and went on to set up four more in a 9-2 road win at Port Moody where he was named 1st Star.

Parkor Sarai, Forward, Surrey Knights – Generally a setup man over his first two PJHL seasons, Sarai has turned sniper this campaign and now has 16 goals and six helpers after a week which saw him go off for 6-1-7. The hometown Surrey product had one half the Knights’ goals in a 5-4 OT setback at Delta and ramped up to a hat trick and 2nd Star in a 7-0 home win over Abbotsford. Sarai closed his week with a goal and an assist in a 5-3 road loss at Grandview.

Ashton Holbech, Forward, Mission City Outlaws – Holbech got his week started with a goal and an assist in a 7-2 defeat on the road at the hands of Ridge Meadows but he and the Outlaws rebounded for a 6-1 home win over Aldergrove where he tallied twice and was named 1st Star.
