Kochan, Yahn, Feaver Get POWs

The PJHL has announced its Players of the Week for the week ending Jan. 29.

Theo Kochan, F, Ridge Meadows Flames – With 19 points in his last 10 games, Kochan is now up to third in PJHL scoring. This past week, he notched two goals and three helpers as the Flames split their pair of games. Kochan had his team’s third goal in a 5-3 setback to Langley but the following outing, he had a goal and three assists as part of a 4-3 home win over North Van.

Hayden Yahn, F, Langley Trappers – Yahn began his week slowly with an assist in a 5-3 road win over Delta but busted out in a big way with a hat trick, scoring the opening goal in the first and two more in the third in a Trappers 5-3 win over visiting Ridge Meadows. The Langley product’s hat trick consisted of a shorthanded goal, an even-strength tally and an empty netter to seal the win in the final minute.

Zack Feaver, F, Chilliwack Jets – On the strength of one game, Feaver made his first POW nod of the season. The hometown Chilliwack native had five assists in a Jets 6-4 road win over Surrey. Three of Feaver’s helpers came on the man advantage as the Chilliwack power play clicked four times in nine tries. Feaver is now fifth in the PJHL in assists with 45.
