The PJHL has announced its Players of the Week for the week ending March 2.
Zack Lagrange, Forward, Ridge Meadows Flames – For the games that counted in the week that was, Lagrange was all over the scoresheet for the Flames. The right-hand shooter from Pitt Meadows scored a hat trick, including two on the man advantage to almost singlehandedly complete a comeback in a 4-3 loss to Surrey in Game 4 of the conference semis where he was 2nd Star. He helped Ridge Meadows finish off the Knights in a 6-1 Game 5 win with a goal and an assist plus 3rd Star.
William Huo, Forward, Richmond Sockeyes – Huo was a driving force for the Sockeyes as they won Games 5 and 6 to get past White Rock. The hometown Richmond product got his team on the board in a 4-1 win in Game 5 where he was 3rd Star and followed that with a goal and a helper for 2nd Star in a 6-3 victory to wrap the series.
Grady Lenton, Forward, Delta Ice Hawks – Finding his team down 2-1 in to Port Coquitlam in the Tom Shaw Conference semis, Lenton took over by piling up 12 points in the final three games – all wins for the Ice Hawks as they came back to take the series in six games. In Game 4, he set up three goals and scored one of his own in a 9-1 win to even the series 2-2. He then scored twice, including the game-winning tally, and had two assists in a 5-1 win in Game 5 and concluded the series with another game-winner as part of a hat trick while adding a helper in a 7-1 victory to put Delta on to the conference finals.
