POWs: Hylands, Dale, Johnson

The PJHL has announced its Players of the Week for the week ending Feb. 5.

Jamie Hylands, F, Langley Trappers – With the postseason nearly here, Hylands is as hot as can be right now. The 6-foot-3, 200-pounder notched 10 points in three games last week, all wins for Langley as they outKt Star in another 8-1 win, this one at Aldergrove. The Langley product had one goal and one helper in a 4-1 win over Delta to close the week.

Brian Dale, G, Mission City Ouatlaws – With 83 saves on 85 shots in two games, Dale was the No. 1 reason Mission City earned two wins for the week. He was 1st Star in a 4-1 road win at Richmond in his first action of the week where he made 40 saves and he stopped 43 pucks in another 4-1 road win at North Van.

Kaidan Johnson, F, Grandview Steelers – Johnson was equal parts set up man and trigger man in three game last week as he racked up a hat trick and five assists. The Burnaby native opened the week assisting four times in a 9-3 road win over Surrey where he was 2nd Star and then scored his third hat trick of the season and was again 2nd Star in a 7-4 loss at Port Moody. Johnson finished up with one helper in a 7-1 home win over Abbotsford and now as 26 goals and 26 assists in 33 games this season.
