The PJHL has announced its Players of the Week for the week ending Feb. 23.

Nikita Kulikov, Forward, Chilliwack Jets – Kulikov was a handful for the Abbotsford Pilots as Chilliwack completed a four-game sweep of their Valley rivals. He scored four points in Game 1 including the game-winner and followed that with a goal and three helpers in a 6-5 win in Game 2 where he was 3rd Star. The 6-foot native of Ukraine set up his teammates three times in an 8-3 win in Game 3 and capped the series with an assist in a 4-3 win to clinch the series.

Matthew Candusso, Goaltender, Ridge Meadows Flames – A pair of playoff starts in the Harold Brittain Conference semifinal against Surrey have brought a pair of shutout wins for Candusso. He turned aside 21 shots in a 4-0 win in Game 1 for 3rd Star and came back in Game 3 to stop all 17 pucks that came his way in a 2-0 victory where he was 2nd Star that put the Flames up 3-0 on the Knights.

Danyil Denysenko, Forward, Chilliwack Jets – Like his Ukrainian countryman and teammate Kulikov, Denysenko proved to much for the Abbotsford Pilots to handle in the Harold Brittain Conference semifinal as he posted nine points in four games. After a pair of helpers in Game 1, he went for a goal and two assists in a 6-5 win in Game 2. He assisted twice in the third period of an 8-3 win in Game 3 and wrapped the series with a power-play goal and assist in Game 4’s 4-3 Jets win that put Chilliwack on to the conference finals.
