POWs: Romeyn, Bains, Sinclair

The PJHL has announced its Players of the Week for the week of October 17 to 23.

Joshua Romeyn, F, Mission City Outlaws – Romeyn started hot with a hat trick to begin his week in a 6-1 road win over Aldergrove. The 5-foot-10 Chilliwack, BC native scored all his goals in the third period as the Outlaws ran away from the Kodiaks. Three nights later, hosting Port Moody, Romeyn led his team to a 4-3 overtime win, keying the comeback with third-period goal and an assist to force OT where Kade Padgham got the winner. Romeyn was named 1st Star in both games.

Gavin Bains, F, Richmond Sockeyes – Warming up as the week went along, Bains had an assist to start out the week in a Sockeyes 3-0 win over Surrey. He followed that with a pair of goals and a helper plus a 1st Star nod in a 7-1 win over Abbotsford and wrapped up his week with two goals, two assists and another 1st Star honour in a 7-6 shootout win over Chilliwack.

Brayden Sinclair, F, Delta Ice Hawks – With his second showing in the POWs, Sinclair had three goals and three assists in two games for the Ice Hawks. The 6-foot-1 Coquitlam, BC native scored twice and set up two more in a 10-5 win over Ridge Meadows. Next time out, he had a goal and an assist in an 8-4 win over Grandview.
