The Pacific Junior Hockey League Champion Ridge Meadows Flames Hockey Club host the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League Champion, currently being played between the Grand Forks Border Bruins and the Revelstoke Grizzlies, in the 2025 Mowat Cup. The Flames host Games 1 and 2 at Langley’s George Preston Arena. Game 1 will take place on Tuesday April 22nd at 7:00pm followed by game 2 on Wednesday April 23rd also at 7:00pm. The series will shift to the KIJHL Champions facility for game 3 and if necessary, games 4 and 5.
The Ridge Meadows Flames are Stonehouse Cup defending Champions in the PJHL. They defeated the Surrey Knights, Chilliwack Jets, and the Delta Ice Hawks on the way to defending their title with a franchise record setting season. As well as a Regular season Champions banner with the club finishing with a 42-4-1-1-0 record. The Flames also won 12 of 15 playoff games to ultimately win the Stonehouse Cup, punching their ticket to compete for the Mowat Cup for the second straight season.
The KIJHL Teck Cup Championships are currently underway with the Grand Forks Border Bruins and the Revelstoke Grizzlies battling for their respective league championship as well as the opportunity to content the Flames for the Mowat Cup.
This is the first time the Mowat Cup will be challenged for in a best of 5 series between the Pacific Junior Hockey League and the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League.
