The PJHL has announced its Players of the Week for the week ending Dec. 15.

Theo Kochan, Forward, Ridge Meadows Flames – Kochan was uncharacteristically held off the scoresheet for the Flames first three games of December but returned to form last week with three goals and five assists in three games. The Pitt Meadows product had a goal and a helper in the first period of an 8-5 road win at Delta where he was 3rd Star to start his week. He did the same next time out, assisting on the opening goal and then scoring the eventual game-winner in the first period of a 6-1 home win over Grandview where he was 1st Star and rounded out his week with a goal and three assists in a 7-3 road win at Abbotsford.

Erich Rommel, Forward, Chilliwack Jets – With six points over the three games that counted last week, Rommel is right on a point-per-game pace with one more game before the PJHL Winter Classic in Richmond. The hometown Chilliwack native set up each Jets goal and was 3rd Star in a 3-0 road win at Langley and, after the Jets were shut out at Abbotsford, he concluded his week by again assisting on all three Jets tallies in a 3-1 home win over Surrey where he was named the game’s 1st Star

Bailey Ewonus, Forward, Port Coquitlam Trailblazers – Part of the Trailblazers much-improved results in the club’s second season is the play of Ewonus, who hit the scoresheet in each of Poco’s three games last week. He scored on the power play and was 3rd Star in a 4-3 setback at Surrey and followed that with the shorthanded game-winning marker in a 4-2 home win over Langley where he was 2nd Star. The Coquitlam product had a helper in Poco’s 3-1 road loss at Coastal Tsunami to wrap his week.
