Wolf Pack hire Matt Korchmar as goaltending coach

NORTH VANCOUVER (June 5th 2020) – The North Vancouver Wolf Pack are excited to announce Matt Korchmar as their new goaltending coach for the upcoming 2020-21 season.

Matt is a well known and respected goalie coach who also works with the Vancouver NE Chiefs of the BC U18 AAA League. He has a long list of Pro, WHL, NCAA, and BCHL goalies that he trains. Korchmar has 6 years of Junior A coaching experience, notably with the Salmon Arm Silverbacks, Alberni Valley Bulldogs and most recently with the Coquitlam Express where the team finished atop the BCHL standings in 2019-20.

“Matt is a former Junior A goaltender who brings a positive attitude with the passion to teach and get the most out of our goalies,” said Wolf Pack head coach and GM Matt Samson. “We are lucky to be able to add Matt while he continues with his other teams and commitments. He has a lot of experience and contacts and will be an asset in developing our goalies.”

Korchmar joins assistant coaches Mike Borrelli and Malcolm Gould who are each returning for their second season with the Wolf Pack.
