About the PJHL
British Columbia’s Premier U20 Development Pathway
The Pacific Junior Hockey League (PJHL) is the definitive environment for player advancement in B.C.
Established in 1965, the PJHL is a Junior hockey league comprised of eight member clubs based across the Lower Mainland of British Columbia. As a cornerstone of the Western Canadian Development Model, the league provides a high-performance platform for athletes aged 16 to 20 to prepare for the transition to the Western Hockey League, Canadian Junior Hockey League, U SPORTS, NCAA, and professional hockey.
Proven Advancement
Our success is measured by the promotion of our athletes. The PJHL bridges the gap between minor hockey and the top tiers of the game, ensuring players are physically and mentally prepared for the next step in their careers.
Elite Competition
The league’s eight clubs maintain high standards for coaching, medical support, and player safety, fostering a competitive atmosphere that drives individual and collective growth.
A Legacy of Performance
With over 60 years of history, the PJHL has consistently produced talent for the highest levels of the sport. From NHL stars to collegiate captains, our alumni network reflects the strength of our developmental systems. In partnership with BC Hockey and Hockey Canada, we are committed to evolving with the game and maintaining our position as a premier destination for developing athletes.
