The PJHL has announced its Players of the Week for the week ending Jan. 7.

Theo Kochan, Forward, Ridge Meadows Flames – With four goals in the first two games of 2024, Kochan has put himself in position for a PJHL goalscoring title with 10 games left to play. The Pitt Meadows native notched a pair of tallies, including the game-winner plus a power-play marker, plus an assist on his way to a 1st Star nod in a 7-1 road win over Surrey. The 19-year-old scored two more goals and took 2nd Star in a 6-2 win at Abbotsford. He now has 33 goals and sits in second in the PJHL, one back of the lead.

Jason Scott, Forward, North Van Wolf Pack – In a busy, three-game week for the Pack, the 6-foot-3, 190-pound forward made the most of it starting with a game-winner and an unassisted tally in an 8-1 home win over Mission City where he was 2nd Star. The homegrown North Vancouver native scored the tying goal to help the Wolf Pack come back and defeat Poco 5-3 in as he took 2nd Star again.

Jordan Kirbyson, Forward, Langley Trappers – Kirbyson’s fingerprints were all over three games, all wins, for the Trappers in the first week of the New Year. The Langley native had two helpers in a 5-3 road win at Aldergrove and he followed that with the shorthanded game-winner and 1st Star in a 3-1 road win over Grandview. Kirbyson scored the opening goal, which stood up as the game-winner, in a 4-0 home win over Poco to conclude the week.
