The PJHL has announced its Players of the Week for the week ending Oct. 15.

Ryden Mathiesen, Forward, Surrey Knights – After a nice start to the season with four goals in six games, the 6-foot-4 Mathiesen more than doubled his production with five in his last two. He was held off the scoresheet to start the week in a narrow 4-3 loss to Aldergrove but went off for a hat trick, scoring a goal each period, in a 7-5 win over Abbotsford where he was 1st Star. He was named 3rd Star in a 5-2 setback to Grandview as he scored both of Surrey’s goals.

Theo Kochan, Ridge Meadows Flames – Kochen was on the scoresheet each game as the Flames went 3-0 to improve to 12-1-1 on the season. The Pitt Meadows product started off with a goal and two helpers and a 1st Star nod in a 4-2 win over Aldergrove and followed with a goal and an assist and a 3rd Star in a 4-2 win over Grandview. Kochen wrapped his week with a power-play goal as part of a 7-3 road win over Abbotsford.

JJ Pickell, Forward, North Van Wolf Pack – Pickell is about to hit the century mark in the PJHL as his next contest will be his 100th, all with the Wolf Pack. He is reaching the milestone in style as well as he scored four times in a 6-1 road win at Poco where he was 1st Star and he picked up two assists to help the Pack to a 4-1 home win over Langley. Pickell plays game No. 100 tonight (Oct. 18) in a road contest at Aldergrove.
