Osborne Signs with WHL Calgary Hitmen

Maple Ridge-Pitt Meadows News – Neil Corbett

Defenceman Brandon Osborne has joined the Calgary Hitmen.

A Ridge Meadows Flames player has signed with the Western Hockey League’s Calgary Hitmen.

Brandon Osborne of Pitt Meadows signed a scholarship and development agreement, the club announced on Dec. 12. He joined the club in Calgary this week.

Osborne, 17, is a six-foot-one defenceman who has put up 27 points in 63 regular season games in the Pacific Junior Hockey League. During last year’s playoffs, he had a great run with 10 points in 16 games.

The Flames said they are thrilled seeing their player move up.

“Recruited last year as a 16-year old, Brandon has been a phenomenal Flame,” said the team online. “We are so proud of him and excited for this opportunity! Good luck and keep turning heads, Ozzy!”

He also played hockey with the West Van Academy U16 and U18 teams.
