The PJHL has announced its Players of the Week for the week ending Feb. 11.
Jack Foster, Forward, Ridge Meadows Flames – A scorching final week to the season for Foster moved him up into a top-five finish in league scoring. In a 7-1 road win over Aldergrove, the Maple Ridge native took 1st Star with a goal and three assists and topped that in his next outing with a pair of second-period goals – including the game-winning tally – plus three helpers and another 1st Star and an 8-3 home win over Surrey.
Max Lyons, Forward, White Rock Whalers – It was a busy three-game week for the Whalers to close out the regular season and Lyons was productive in each game. The Surrey product was 2nd Star after he had the overtime game-winner plus an assist in a 6-5 road win at Delta to open the week. He scored twice and assisted on two more in a 5-2 home win over North Van where he was 1st Star and wrapped his week with an assist in a 7-3 setback to visiting Delta.
Connor Hughes, Forward, Port Moody Panthers – Needing two goals to reach the 30-goal mark for the season, Hughes got it done with a tally in each of two games in the final week. The Coquitlam product had a goal and an assist and was 2nd Star in a 9-6 loss to Richmond and got goal No. 30 with a shorthanded tally plus another helper in a 4-3 overtime road loss to Grandview.
