The PJHL has announced its Players of the Week for the week ending Dec. 24.

Ben Ruthven, Forward, Grandview Steelers – Ruthven had a busy week before the break and made the most of it with seven points in three games. He began with two points and a 3rd Star nod in a 4-3 OT win over North Van where he scored the opener and set up the winner. He had the same scoring line in a 4-1 road win at Poco and finished the week with two goals – including the game-winner – plus a helper as he took 1st Star in a 4-3 road win at Port Moody.

William Huo, Forward, Richmond Sockeyes – Making his way into the PJHL POWs for a second week in a row, Huo had one game to impress and did just that with a five-point night in a 7-1 win over the visiting Delta Ice Hawks. Huo set up a goal in each period and scored twice himself, both on the man advantage, in the final frame as he took 1st Star on the night.

David Stepputat, Forward, Mission City Outlaws – Stepputat helped the Outlaws to a pair of wins over Aldergrove with a productive week. The Pitt Meadows product set the stage for an Outlaws OT win by scoring the tying goal in the third period in a 3-2 win over the Kodiaks Dec. 20 and topped that with a hat trick and a helper in a 1st Star turn in a 6-2 home win Dec. 23.
