The PJHL has announced its Players of the Week for the week ending Dec. 3.

Vaugh Kaliel, Goalie, Ridge Meadows Flames – Having two starts to work with for the week, Kaliel posted shutouts on both occasions and improved his record to 12-1 on the season. There was no margin for error for the Grande Prairie, Alta. native in the first game as Ridge Meadows eked out a 1-0 road win at Langley. In that game, Kaliel made 24 stops and was named the game’s 1st Star. The 6-foot-2 ‘tender stopped all 17 shots that came his way for his fifth shutout of the season and a 3rd Star nod in a 4-0 win at Port Moody.

Teo Lin, Forward, Richmond Sockeyes – Not many teams have forced the Sockeyes past 60 minutes this season but a recent contest against North Van went to OT before Lin helped Richmond to a 6-5 victory, setting up the winner as part of a two-goal, two-assist game where he was 1st Star. Lin scored twice in the second period and was 2nd Star in helping the Sockeyes to a 3-2 road win at Poco and wrapped his week with an assist in another 3-2 road win, this one at Grandview.

Michael McIntyre, Defenceman, Richmond Sockeyes – McIntyre’s power-play goal in overtime came after he had already set up three other Sockeyes goals in a 6-5 home win over North Van where he was named 3rd Star. The 6-foot-3 blueliner assisted on the game’s opening goal in a 3-2 win at Grandview to conclude his week.
